At 5 p.m. today hundreds of students, alumni, faculty and staff responded to a last minute call from Faculty Senate Chief George Cohen to gather in support of the reinstatement of Teresa Sullivan and the resignation of the Board’s Rector Helen Dragas at a silent vigil. At the event’s close, Cohen said he was “very gratified that so many people came on such a hot day” and that the turn out was a sign of “continuing commitment” for the cause. Many from the University community who flooded the historic lawn today called for the support to continue into Sunday’s Rally for Honor which will take place from 2:00-4:00pm on the lawn.
