Pancakes for Parkinson’s [PHOTOS]

The 9th annual Pancakes for Parkinson’s proved to be one of the best to date. Pancakes for Parkinson’s did an incredible job with gaining local publicity and recruiting volunteers–so much so, in fact, that they received more offers for volunteering positions than they had available. The event showed an impressive turnout, too, with a constant flow of students and families coming by between 9am and 1pm. Additional activities abounded–from face-painting stations to acapella and dance performances, people had an array of entertaining options while waiting in line for pancakes.

Co-chair of Pancakes for Parkinson’s Colette Martin said that the event was “a great way to bridge the gap between the Charlottesville community and UVA community”, as both students and local residents gathered around the lawn to enjoy the fall morning and support a good cause.
