Michelle Obama Postpones Campaign in Charlottesville

UPDATE: Michelle Obama postponed her trip to Charlottesville due to the tragedy in Aurora, CO.

Michelle Obama will be making her first appearance in Charlottesville since 2008, when she led a rally outside of Newcomb Hall during her husband’s first campaign for President. She will be at the Main Street Arena at 1:40 this Friday July 20th to speak at a Woman’s Vote Event.

The First Lady is slated to speak about what the upcoming election means for Virginians, to encourage voters to go out to the polls in November and to thank supporters for their work in getting President Obama reelected.

The event will be free, however, attendees will require tickets that can be picked up on a first come, first served basis. They will be available at Charlottesville’s Organizing for America pick-up location.

The pick-up venue is located at: Main Street Arena – 230 West Main Street – Charlottesville VA, 22902.
