47 year old Charles Farrell Long Jr. of Charlottesville, VA with two counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of production of child pornography, stemming from an ongoing investigation by the Albemarle Police Department that started in December 2011. Originally, the investigation started as there was a complaint involving sexual abuse by Long.
Long has a history with Albemarle County, once serving as a police officer, served as Reserve Deputy with the Albemarle County Sheriff’s Office, and taught for the City of Charlottesville Public Schools. At the time of his arrest, Long was a volunteer for Albemarle County Public Schools.
Long is set to appear in the Albemarle Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on April 30, 2012 at 1:30 PM.
