Have any old prescriptions sitting around in your medicine cabinet? Along with the DEA, the Albemarle County Police Department and the City of Charlottesville Police Department are holding an event to take back unwanted prescription drugs. Taking place this Saturday, from 10 AM to 2 PM you can drop off medicine at the following locations: Albemarle Country Police Dept., City of Charlottesville Police Dept., and The Martha Jefferson Outpatient Care located at 595 Martha Jefferson Drive.
Old medicine not only presents a public health issue–but they can be of harmful use in the comfort of a home, including misuse and abuse. So, drop them off–no questions asked.
PLEASE NOTE: Intra-venous solutions, injectibles, syringes, and illicit drugs (such as marijuana and methamphetamine) will NOT be accepted.
